Had a beard trim here from John as it was looking like a bee's hive. Quick and easy and they even have beard oil. My wife sees April and is very pleased with her.

I wish I could write reviews per stylist because the overall atmosphere of Beehive is nice. It's quieter than some salons can be. The one time I spoke with the owner I thought she was nice, genuinely interested in what I had to say & professional. I'd like to note that the stylists I have not been to & Stephanie V., who has always done a great job on my nails are not part of this review. Unfortunately I have had bad experiences with two hair stylists who currently work here. One double processed my hair causing my scalp to have oozing blisters the next morning & flaking for some time. This was a year ago days before my bridal pictures at another salon. At my hair appointment the following month, I was surprised to see her again at the station right next to my now former stylist. I had been seeing my former stylist since she started in Victoria at another salon which has been 3 years or so. Never had a problem until a few months ago when I wanted to make a couple changes. Her demeanor & tone towards me quickly changed. She was quickly defensive & easily irritated. Like she has gone to school for cosmetology so I should just shut up & take her word. Excuse me but it is my hair & I pay you for your services. If you feel you aren't charging enough & doing more than you should, that is your responsibility to charge your clients appropriately & set standards that you'd like upheld. Anyway, a few weeks ago I decided I wanted to get extensions. I researched which brand & method I thought I'd like & found a place in Houston. In what I thought would be a courtesy to my stylist, I let her know my plans at my next appointment with her. Boy did that backfire! Ultimately she convinced me to go with her & her preferred brand & method of extensions. Why wouldn't I trust her. She'd been working on my hair for years & despite her poor communication skills lately, she'd never damaged my hair. Until now. Within a week 3 extensions were falling out in the same area. She reapplied them between clients. At which time she also pointed out breakage & damage to my hair in the back claiming they were caused by my clips. Clips I've used for years with no damage. Clips I haven't even used since before she put the extensions in. After that rushed appointment I noticed my hair was unevenly cut. To which she admitted she should have checked after reapplying the extensions but also my hair was wavy so she didn't notice. My hair is always wavy & it is noticeable. She told me to straighten my hair myself so she could fix the unevenness as again she would be fitting me in between clients & wouldn't have time to do so herself. Really? Wow! I don't straighten or use heat tools myself but for special occasions when I feel like doing so. But for you to fix your negligence, I have to? No ma'am. I think I deserve to be treated better. I don't know why all of a sudden she is treating me so poorly & frankly I don't care anymore. Any personal issues should stay just that with business separate. Communication & good customer service go a long way in maintaining a successful business. Research & ask for stylist's credentials & portfolios. Reputable stylists won't be offended!
