I stayed at the Inn on Main in room #2 from 06/01/2015 – 06/03/2015. I found the bed and breakfast to be absolutely lovely. It has hardwood floors, antiques, and character. There is an awesome front porch that lends itself to enjoying the evening by rocking in the chair, and I even loved that it was across the street from the public library. I am a state employee, and the Inn on Main accepted the state rate – which was excellent considering that many of the name brand hotels in Victoria were way over the current state rate.

All in all, I would recommend The Inn on Main if you are coming to Victoria because of its unique charm and lovely environment.

• There is not really a breakfast at The Inn on Main. There are items in the kitchen that could be used for breakfast, but it is all cold such as cereal.
The room itself is decent, the staff or rather lack of is not so decent. This is not a bed and breakfast more of a bed. There was no breakfast at all. Just a coffee machine and a fridge with what could have been anyone's beverages. On top of that, I was charged $723.17 for a room as the inn keeper accidentally charged me the wrong amount. He meant to put $123.17 I called him immediately and he stated he would fix the mistake and credit my account back the $723.17. He never did. I received a debit for $723.17 & $123.17 and no credit. I was told it could take up to 30 days for the credit to hit from my bank. This was one expensive bed I slept in. You can't speak directly with the inn keeper, you have to wait for him to call you back. This house was not as grand as it seems from the outie . You literally walk into a hallway and a studio kitchen all modernized in the late 80's.Save your money, save your hassle and time...stay at a Holiday Inn instead. I could have rented a house for what I paid here.

• Even though this lovely inn is located on Main Street there are only a handful of restaurants within walking distance, and nothing that is open in the evenings. However, if you have a car this would not be an issue because there are places easy to drive to.
